(Correspondent: Wu Kangcheng) On November 7, 2019, the IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineer) Global Awards 2019 was held at the Hilton Hotel in Hull, UK. The IChemE Global Awards has entered its 25th year and is widely recognized as the world's most prestigious chemical engineering award.
Star Wars actor Warwick Davis hosted the dinner. IChemE Chairman Ken Ravens delivered a speech: "IChemE Global Awards brings together top engineers from around the world to recognize their significant achievements in tackling major challenges."

IChemE Global Awards are divided into 17 awards including Outstanding Achievement Award, Entrepreneurship Award, Research Project Award, and Team Award. The "Next Generation Fuel Cell Engine" co-produced by Professor Jiao Kui's group of Tianjin University and Professor Xuan Jin's group of Loughborough University in the United Kingdom was shortlisted in the top three of the research project awards, and was finally highly recommended by the organizing committee and nominated.
